House 45 is nestled within the tranquil and secure grounds of The Sodwana
Bay Lodge situated on the Elephant Coast of South Africa. The house is located
near one of the most spectacular scuba diving areas in the World.
Of all wood construction House 45 was built in 1992
and is spacious and comfortably furnished for a relaxed holiday. All rooms have
ceiling fans and air conditioners. The house is supplied with electricity and the
Lodge has its own generator and therefore the house has power when the main
power is interrupted.
House 45 overlooks Lake Shazibe
and the highest vegetated sand dunes in the world of iSimangaliso Wetlands
Park, a World Heritage site. Jesser Point Lighthouse is visible, by which all of
the coral reefs are measured from, i.e. 1/4 mile, 2 mile, 5 mile, 7 mile and 9
mile.
Comfortably appointed lounge.
Sliding doors lead onto a large East facing deck with a table and overlooks Lake Shazibe. On the western side is an outdoor shower with hot and cold water.
There is a covered gas braai on the deck.
The bar area forms part of the lounge. There is a bar fridge under the bar counter.
Dining area with breakfast counter
combined with a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering.
Stove top
is gas with an electric oven, 1 fridge/freezer, 1 large fridge, 1 chest freezer
and microwave oven. Pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and glassware is provided.
Tumble dryer. No dishwasher.
The kitchen leades out to the deck
where there is a wash basin for the cleaning of scuba diving and snorkelling
equipment. There is also place to hang up diving gear.
House 45 has four
bedrooms, two of which are main en-suite and have sliding doors
leading out onto the deck, the other two bedrooms share a bathroom with bath and
shower.
One of the main bedrooms has a double bed
and the other a queen size bed with an extra bed for a child.
Flatlet
Consists of a Lounge with a TV,
Kitchen, Bedroom with two single beds and en-suite bathroom with bath and
shower, and a Braai Patio.
The flatelet is a 4-sleeper, with a double
bunker bed in the lounge.

General information.
The house has
a full time maid who will do laundry, dishes, make up beds and general house
cleaning.
The house itself is wheelchair friendly however there are steps
leading down to the entrance so assistance will be needed.
Pets are not
permitted.
No smoking
in the house please, however smoking on the deck is
permitted.
Shaded
parking close to the house.
The Lodge has 24 hour security.
There
is cell phone reception.
It is
advisable to take precaution against mosquitos.
The guest pool is within
a short walking distance, as too is the main lodge which has a restaurant and a
large pool.
Sodwana Bay Lodge
charge a Road Levy of R30.00 per vehicle which is a once off payment, paid at
reception for the duration of your stay.
